Legal / Accessibility
What we built, and what we have not tested yet.
Where we stand
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or a browser set to larger text or reduced motion. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We do not claim full conformance, because a full manual audit with assistive technology has not been completed yet.
What is built in
- A skip link on every page that jumps straight to the main content.
- Landmarks and headings in a logical order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
- A visible, associated label on the email field, with errors announced to screen readers, not shown only in color.
- Visible keyboard focus on every link and control, with no keyboard traps.
- Text colors measured against the 4.5:1 contrast minimum. On 2 October 2026 every text color on the site measured at least 4.9:1 against the backgrounds it sits on.
- The animated floor plan has a text description for screen readers, and it does not animate when your browser or system asks for reduced motion.
- The opening animation plays once per visit, lasts under three seconds, can be skipped with a click, and never plays when reduced motion is requested.
- The example video plays muted, has a pause button, and is paused automatically when reduced motion is requested.
- Layouts reflow to narrow screens without sideways scrolling.
What we know is not done
- No full manual audit with a screen reader has been completed.
- The waitlist form needs JavaScript, because the spam check does. Anyone affected can email [email protected] and we will add you by hand.
- The example video has no audio and no captions, because it contains no speech. A text description of what it shows is next to it.
